Delisha Thompson

National Campus Mental Health Organizer

Delisha is a person with lived experience who is currently working in a variety of roles. Currently, she is assisting the project leads at the Bazelon Institute for Mental Health Law, MHA, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work in website creation, event coordination, and work group facilitation as part of this project. She also privately tutors students in English and works with an international company to perform English language assessments. Prior to this, Delisha lived and worked in Taiwan as a university professor at Tunghai University. She taught over 200 students in the years she worked there. Delisha earned both her masters (2018) and bachelors (2014) degrees at the University of Maryland College Park. She has specialised knowledge on comparative racism in regards to the US., Asia, and Latin America; moreover her policy expertise focuses on minority groups and their experiences in healthcare, mental health accessibility, and education.
