Guiying (Angel) Zhong

Guiying (Angel) Zhong is a fourth-year student at the University of the Pacific (UOP) majoring in Psychology and English with minors in Writing and Ethnic Studies. They are currently the President of UOP’s student government, where she has previously served as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). She is passionate about decolonizing mental health, creating culturally-informed models of mental healthcare, and intersectional advocacy. Outside of Pacific, they have served as a Climate Action Fellow for White Pony Express, a food recovery organization committed to ending food insecurity in Contra Costa County; a Civic Action Fellow for Little Manila Rising, a South Stockton-based non-profit committed to bringing multi-faceted equity to the region; and a youth advisor for the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI).
